The Connecticut Senate approved a law to legalize marijuana. The measure now goes to the House of Representatives, which it intends to send to Governor Ned Lamont (D) by the end of the session on Wednesday.

The House Transport and Infrastructure Committee will be voting this week on a bill that will allow scientists to study marijuana that consumers are actually buying from pharmacies, rather than just using government-grown cannabis in research. It would also allow interstate transport of the product to researchers in places that have not yet been legalized.
